FanDuel is most known for being a DFS and sports betting site, but it continues to make big moves in the online casino industry.

This month the company was looking to expand in both New Jersey and Michigan, two of the biggest markets in the United States.

FanDuel Casino has now launched a standalone online casino in the state of New Jersey, which is the biggest online casino market in the US. Online casino games used to be paired with the online sportsbook app, but this separation should allow FanDuel to become a major force in the industry. The operator has been expanding their online offerings and has bolstered its choice of table games, live dealer games, and the awesome FanDuel slots.

FanDuel does not have a long history in the online casino industry, with the first offering of this product coming back in January 2020. This was first offered in the state of Pennsylvania, and a standalone app was launched in that state back in June.

Obtaining an online casino license in the state of New Jersey has not been easy for FanDuel, because it is partnered with the Meadowlands Racetrack. Under the current New Jersey laws, that partnership did not allow FanDuel to offer a standalone online casino app.

In order to gain market access in New Jersey, FanDuel had to use the available license from its parent company, Flutter. Flutter has a deal in place with Golden Nugget AC, and that partnership does allow for an online casino license.

Earlier this year, Flutter managed to strike a deal with the Stardust Casino brand as well, and an online casino site was launched through that merger. Since both FanDuel and the new Stardust are under the same parent company, the app will allow customers to access accounts at both online casinos.

Live Dealer Games Available in Michigan

FanDuel was able to add live dealer games to its current platform in the state of Michigan, and those changes went into effect on July 22. This came after the Michigan Gaming Control Board finally granted approval to Evolution to supply these games.

Evolution will now be supplying live dealer games to up to 10 online casinos in the state, including FanDuel. When the live dealer games went live at FanDuel Michigan, games were being offered on baccarat, blackjack, and roulette.

Live dealer games give the customer the experience of being on the casino floor, and the action is much faster-paced than with traditional online casino games. These live dealer games are only offered during set hours, but new games are expected to be added.

FanDuel continues to be one of the biggest online casino operators in the state of Michigan, trailing only BetMGM. When it comes to sports betting, FanDuel is the biggest name in the state, with BetMGM and DraftKings right behind.

These live dealer games won’t have much of an impact on the July revenue report, but it should allow Michigan to see substantial growth when the August numbers are revealed. Even though the state of Michigan has just three commercial casinos that are open, online casino gambling has become extremely popular.
